The candidate must be in possession of a Master’s Degree (or equivalent) in relevant field(s) enabling her/him to enroll in a Doctoral Programme by the recruitment date.

The candidate must not hold a Doctoral degree by the time of recruitment date (i.e. by the start of the contract).

The candidate must not have resided or carried her/his main activity (studies, work, etc.) at the country of recruitment for more than 12 months in the 36 months immediately prior to the recruitment date.

Upon evaluation of the submitted documentation, candidates will be ranked according to their merits. A series of interviews with the highest-ranked candidates will be held online on agreed dates. Upon online interviews, the shortlisted candidates will be invited to an in-person recruitment event in Brussels,with online participation possible, on a date to be announced in due time. Shortlisted candidates not offered a contract may be kept in the reserve list for future opportunities.

The PROHITS Consortium commits to an open, transparent, impartial and equitable recruitment procedure, which is merit based, taking into account potential for the candidate’s professional development and promoting equal access for women and men. The Consortium will provide timely updates on the process when available, and will offer discarded candidates with reasonable feedback for reference.

Full-time employment for a maximum of 3 years (36 months). During this period, the selected candidate must work exclusively on the research training activities under PROHITS. An additional year will be provided for countries with a 4 year doctorate (see individual DC descriptions).



The candidate will be primarily based at the facilities and in the city/country listed with each DC position.



Contracts are scheduled to start at 1st September 2024.
